Haven't watched Big Brother in years and I was wondering on how are they informed of events that happen in the world while they are in the Big Brother house.

The only time I remember them being told of an world event was 9/11.
One of the people left had an family member in the towers.
They are told of about family events.
They had house members left due to things that happen.
They had people stay, after finding out about death of the family or emergency

They aren't. They are cut from outside world information until they are evicted or win
Unless it has to do with a family emergency then no they aren't told

They are not informed. They are totally ignorant of world events until they leave. And most of them are so self-centered they wouldn't care about world events anyway.
