What if you do not like to be around people? I worked In public serve for 34yrs. Is that normal to isolate myself?

    i think its perfectly normal.

    some people are sociable, others are not ... v normal.

    you need a peace of mind ... tis what i think ... hehe

    so you go away, be alone ... you find that peace.

    It is your right to live the way you wish. Do not listen to anyone trying to convince you it is not normal as many people prefer solitude. My mom is one and is quite happy with just her and her cat.

    Normal enough. Most public service employees I've met are very much not happy around other people.

    Its not healthy you should be around some people atleast...

    But some people are naturally very introverted.

    It's not normal, but then neither is an IQ of 160. My point is that normal is just another word for average. You might be schizoid. It's not a mental illness but a personality type. See the links below.
