Locked out of iPhone but want to save photos :((?
Submit Cancel
I have an iPhone 5s and I dropped it so one side of the screen stopped working. This meant I couldn t unlock it and by trying to do so, I disabled it so it now says connect to iTunes. From what I ve researched, the only way I could now unlock it is to restore it but I have a really important video of it that I would like to keep. It has a SIM card in it so will that store the photos. Also, it used to be my sisters phone and she synced it with her macbook. When she gave it to me, she restored it to factory settings. will it still sync with her computer? I have tried updating it but nothing is working :((

You'll probably need to replace the phone, and when you do that, you'll have to restore the phone from a backup. Anything that was added since the last backup will be lost. If you have no backups, in iCloud or iTunes, you'll lose everything. iPhone doesn't store anything on your SIM card. All the SIM does is identify your phone to your carrier. So moving the SIM will not move photos or any other data except the phone number,
