Are there any monuments in USA or UK for the Glorious Red Army - Liberators from Nazizm ?

    N The Red Army didn't liberate any place in the US or UK, and in fact, plunged much of Eastern Europe into a similar era of tyranny and oppression.

    Moreover, the US had already "memorialized" the USSR's effectiveness against the Nazis by sending thousands of aircraft, tanks and trucks to the Soviets. The Soviet offensives in 1944 and 1945 owe a great deal to their ability to supply their forces thanks to US trucks.

    Last Sunday I drew the one in Geraldine Harmsworth Gardens which is just next to the Imperial War Museum in south London.

    No, not in the UK. Problem was, when we went to war against the Germans - it was because they had invaded the Poles. Which the Russians did too. They weren't on our side.

    Just as many as there are monuments to the US or UK's contribution to the war effort in what used to be the Soviet Union.
