Most AC repair shops can refill the system with Freon that has been treated with a green dye. Then you can see where its leaking so you can get it fixed.

Take your car to a shop that fixes car air conditioning systems. It won't magically fix itself if you just keep refilling it.

It leaks because there is a hole and the system either off or running is under pressure - just like if your water pipe in your house has a leak it will leak if you turn on the water or turn off the water - pressure is always present in the system
