Smelling something dead that nobody else can smell?

I was smelling something dead, around my bed, it was a very strong smell and the smell was there for only the day and was gone the next which I find very strange. I looked everywhere in my bedroom, took furniture out even hoping to find that something had died..but nothing. My family could not smell a thing and I'm thinking I'm going crazy at this point... Very strange and I just don't know.
