The Deep/Dark Web is becoming increasingly popular. Why?

its not any more popular than it has ever been. its just lots of teenagers hear of it and hear stories about "how cool, or how crazy or scary" it is and talk about it more.

the deep web make up the majority of the internet and nothing about the deep web is bad or anything else. the deep web means nothing more than the website/server is not cached by google. thats it.

the darkweb is just a meshnet which exists outside the normal realm of the internet. the darkweb can only be accessed with special tools. the darknet is what most commonly contains things such as drug sales, weapon sales, or gang activity. (murder for hire isnt really much of a thing. atleast what people make it out to be. you would never know you were on a site/forum for murder for hire e ven if you somehow came across it)

but the darkweb also has legitimate and good reasons to use it. its not 100% bad. i mean the darkweb is also used for whistleblowers (for example snowden). aswell as anyone trying to just stay anonymous for any non-illegal reason.

and there is also illegal fire sharing (movies, music, etc) which is completely a different thing compared to drug and weapon sales.

because it supposedly has weird and demented sh*t that you will never find anywhere else
