I DID SOMETHING REALLY STUPID?

Okay so I got an interview at Chipotle for tomorrow and I was like yay ! Everything all fine and dandy BUT then I decided ya know what I'm gonna look at the application again and see what questions to expect.

So I began a fake app an still used my phone number .. why u ask? Idk I didn't think it through . Once I saw the questions I was like okie doke and EXITED OUT . Chipotle called me and asked for the fake application person for an interview . I panicked and was like umm sorry wrong number this is Lauren and she was like ohh umm okay ? And we hung up

Do I even have a chance at this interview or did i eff it up ? I really need this job she sounded nice on the phone so I'm hoping she laughs it off . I'm just embarrassed and I can't stop obsessing over it

    This wasn't really stupid; trying to cover it up would be more stupid. Just tell the truth. You did nothing wrong or illegal or misleading. It is not uncommon for someone to go through a mock application online to see what information may be needed that you might have to take some time to gather, you exited and didn't realize that the mock application was actually submitted. Apologize if that caused any confusion, but you were just trying to get prepared ahead of time.

    That will show the interviewer several things - You are honest is the first big one. You are willing to accept responsibility for something, good or bad. You believe in the value of preparation.

    I strongly suspect that this is not the first time this has happened and probably won't be the last. Use it to your advantage to show you are not someone to run away from something.

    Just tell them a friend borrowed your phone and didn't think she completed the application.

    If it's mentioned just say it was a kid at your house messing around.

    probably not a problem. She's not likely to notice the phone number was yours.
