Because Christians don't believe in your interpretation of the Bible, that God's a murdering, genocidal maniac, and we're not about to put faith in you, as if you were some kind of cult leader.

First off I don't really call God love. God calls himself love and I accept that as what God is. Im glad you brought up this obvious contradiction of values and yes of course you are right. God cannot be love and a genocidal murderer at the same time. He must be one or the other. This is the reason God and His Church have no credibility. Until the Church comes to terms with this contradictory God they will continue to lack the logic to win the world over mentally to who or what God really is. I stand with the group that holds that if God Is love like He says He is then he cannot be responsible for any of the horrendous things attributed to Him,
