First off, I agree that young, unmarried women shouldn't have children without being married. Why do they want to have a baby when they are unmarried? I think it is because they believe that marriage isn't necessary to have a child. They think: Why do I need that piece of paper to have a child? From a biological standpoint, that might be true. However, children raised in intact married families are:

    --more likely to attend college

    --physically and emotionally healthier

--less likely to be physically or sexually abused

--less likely to use drugs or alcohol and to commit delinquent behaviors

--have a decreased risk of divorcing when they get married

--less likely to become pregnant/impregnate someone as a teenager

I don't think you understand why they want Children. Its very complicated reasonings. One may be, they have low self asteam, and they want to feel loved, so they want a baby.

I belive depression is a very big reasoning for teens having children. It's the thought of being lonely and feeling worthless, you just want change in your life. As well as you want to feel something love you for you. You want Something that will always want you and belong to you. It's a weird thing that people feel, I can't explain it.
