What would happen if one of the Wimbledon finalists became unfit to play during the game?
Say one of them ripped a cartilage or something and couldn't carry on. Also what would happen to the prize money?

The other player would win by default, the term for it if it happened during the nmtch after it started would be that the losing player retired

The injured finalist would still get the full prize money that Wimbledon finalists get while their opponent would become the winner by default and get the prize money that Wimbledon champions get. Basically it would be like any other final except that you lost due to an injury rather than the score.

The match would be over.
The healthy finalist would get the champion's prize money [2 million pounds], and the injured finalist would get the runner-up prize money [1 million pounds].
I've never seen this happen, and I've been watching Wimbledon for over almost 50 years.

If a player can't continue to play, he defaults and the match is registered as a loss. The player would then get the loser's share of the prize money.

As they say, thems the breaks. If this happened, the other player would win by default. And would take the winners money.

Nice. You ask 77 questions on Yahoo answers, but you are a troll on my questions. How come you think you can get legitimate answers here, but when you answer other people's questions, you can be a f****** asshole. Hypocrite! No wonder the world is a terrible place. It's filled with people like you, who think they can be mean to others, but others can't be mean to them. Idiot!

The one left, would then have to play with him/herself.
