Why have I seldon seen a company that uses affirmative action?

Don't get me wrong, I don't support it, but it definitely doesn't seem as common or prevalent as people thing. Like, only about 1 out of 10 companies in my experience uses it. The rest are equal opportunity.

Idiot. The ones that call themselves "equal opportunity" ARE the affirmative action companies! Liberals claim that affirmative action equalizes opportunity by canceling out discrimination etc. We need to give bonus points to disadvantaged groups so they have an equal opportunity.

AA is part of equal opportunity. All it says is if you have two candidates identically qualified and you dont' have diversity, you go for diversity. Not a bad thing - makes up for centuries of discrimination. Of course the ole white boys network hates it - they have benefited from the discrimination and now they face the other side of it - balance.

My company does. We have all women engineers even though they are an extreme minority in engineering as a whole. As a result our product suffers because women can't engineer anything
