I bought a 2001 F250 with a 7.3 diesel. Do I need DEF? And if I do, how/where do I add it?

    No you don't need DEF .It didn't start until 2009/2010 . and if you did there would be a smaller cap to fill next to the fuel cap.

    No you don't need DEF for the 7.3 powerstrokes. DEF is required in the 6.7s.
