I hit a curb, possible damage?

I was driving and someone came into my lane so I pulled to the side to avoid an accident. I hit a curb pretty bad head on. Now my car feels a little bunny when I drive, kind of like I have a flat tire, but I don t. Also if I go over 40 mph I hear a whining noise when I make a turn to the left. Any ideas?

I'd be safe in guessing you bent something under your car. Get it checked and repaired or you will find out just what the problem is along with any other problems this will cause. If you have full coverage on the car then check with your insurance company, they may pay part or all of the repairs.

Best case scenario is you simply knocked your wheel out of balance which would need to be re-balanced. Worst case scenario would be you caused damage to a suspension component such as as shock, control arm, etc. Go have all four wheels balance and go from there.

Go to a shop and get an estimate. It's free. The last thing you want to do is ignore this and have a tire fall off on the freeway.

Are you okay? Maybe one side of the car is lower on the left side. You should get that checked out.
