Should I play the flute or clarinet?

I like flutes and clarinets. But I have to decide which one I m gonna play. Which one should I play?

    I am a professional flutist and teacher in NY since 1973. If you intend to be in a marching band - play CLARINET.

    Hard decision. Both are cool instruments. I've seen saxophonists usually take on flute and clarinet as well. I played the flute before and it's pretty fun. I never play the clarinet so who knows.

    no reason why you cant be a multi talent. I have played flute for many years and am looking into learning clarinet also, the clarinet is smooth and sexy. and versatile!
