Why do young girls that are 16 are growing up so fast? Back in the old days they don't even know what makeup was?

I feel like social media has a big part in this, Back when I was 16 (which wasn't too long ago - less than a decade ago) we really didn't have that whole instagram/snapchat/facebook hype - now it seems like EVERYWHERE you look all you see are images or videos of people with TONNES of make up on, the same drawn on arched heavy dark brows, the same overly contoured nose and cheekbones, the same overly lined brown lipstick - not to mention the heavily edited pictures of 'perfection.' Young people may feel pressure to fit into that ideal. I actually feel sorry for them :(

All down to the times we live in. They've been forced to - the legal age to have sex is 16 and there's 16 year old girls with children out there.

It's a different generation. They're exposed to all these girls on social media that they idolize and then want to be exactly like them.
