Would the canadian dollar rise if we printed less money?

I m from canada. Our canadian dollar is very low. I heard that in germany after world war 1, they decided to print more money, but it caused it to be so low, the money on the paper was less than the paper was worth. So if the government printed less money, would the dollar go up?

I'm sure the tree's would stand for it, and the people be able to enjoy this, better than the other, if the truth be known, and really thought about, if it took that much thought to think it through, b/c others already have, and know it.
