Not a bad idea. We lose 30,000 people a year in car accidents, and very few to acts of terrorism. We ought to be a lot tougher on who is allowed to drive.
I know that isn't what you meant. You were trying to make a stupid point about gun control. Very funny.

With the things I have seen on the road I would vote for that. Driving is a privilege that should be earned, not a constitutional right. Aggressive or poorly skilled drivers, psychos, addicts, drunks, and dangerous felons should not be allowed to drive.
I get that you were trying to make a pro-gun statement but you picked a bad analogy since in the US more people are killed by motor vehicles than by guns. Every year more than 30,000 people die in car related crashes (source: National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.)

To purchase an automobile all you need is money. I guess maybe you are making a a reference to what happened in France? Clever. What's your point?

Likely should be.
People driving vehicles kill more every year than all homicides, by gun, knife, baseball bat, strangulation, whatever.
Even more than the terrorists killed in 9/11.
2001 traffic deaths 42,116 . Those killed in all 9/11 attacks, 2,996 those otherwise murdered in 2001, 15,980
So over 42 thousand killed by motor vehicles driven by people compared to about 19 thousand murdered the same year.
Which is more dangerous? People who drive or terrorists who hijack and crash airplanes into buildings?

This seems to be in response to something which is totally unclear but I think it's a great idea.
