A 5:2:1 ratio is incredibly slow to fish Buzzbait's with. Do you have a 7:0:1 or better ratio reel? A faster ratio reel will make fishing Buzzbaits much (((much))) easier.

Tip- The key to fishing Buzzbait's is starting to reel JUST before the Buzzbait hits the water. It will stay on top easier if you do this.

If your Buzzbait is riding sideways in the water it is probably fouled, defective, or not working correctly.
