Why are vegans trying to force their diet on non-vegans?

Not all vegans do this. A lot of vegans do believe that the vegan diet is absolutely the way to go because of how it helps nature and how good it is for your body. I personally have done research and found that a peskaterian diet is absolutely better for you than a vegan diet is. The reason why some vegans always try to push their diets and beliefs on people, is because of how much they believe it helps. I have a few vegan friends and they all swear that any human who eats meat is destroying this planet little by little. A lot of vegans will try to talk many people into converting to a vegan diet, because of how strongly they feel about it and how much they care about the environment. When you think about it, it's kind of like religion, isn't it?

Keep in mind that not ALL vegans try to force their diet on non-vegans. As to why? They believe that the vegan diet is extremely helpful and that it is helping animals and nature. They feel strongly and passionate about it and want others to be apart of.

You are generalizing a little, don't you think? Once vegans become vegans, they want to share what they have learned with others. If you feel like someone is forcing their beliefs onto you, talk to them about it or just simply don't follow. Your eating preferences are solely up to you. Good luck!

Emily, it's not all Vegans, just a very very minor group in this forum. In reality, Vegans I have come across, are pretty good with us, not judgmental.

So really, I would not slam "all" Vegans.

most vegans are vegans not because of health but moral issues. Like smokers who just quit, or a dieter that was successful, they want to share the joy, so to speak.

smile, nod, agree that opinions vary and move on.

I suppose it's because they feel really strongly on their opinion and feel like living non-vegan is wrong and that you should live their lifestyle and change. It's really rude to be honest, and unnecessary. I usually don't pay attention and keep on with my day, don't let them bother you.

Because Vegan diet is seemingly the best recommended diet by various sources worldwide. It seems as if is a kindly awareness they are trying to potray to others unselfishly i suppose.

The same reason Christians try to force their religion of non-Christians.

    Because they're human.

Not all of them do it.

Buy mormons repellent, you can find them in supermarkets and they work with vegans too.
