President Obama and Deval are friends who often collaborated on the writing of their speeches and used lines from each other's speeches on several occasions. President Obama has readily admitted to using lines from Deval's speeches, some at his suggestion and Deval also did the same to Obama's speeches. They have both given credit to each other for borrowed lines and have never accused each other of plagiarism.
