What do you and your spouse do with your children (if you have them) for quality family time?

I haven't been married 2 years, yet. I have a 14 year old daughter and my husband has a 6 year old daughter, whom we get every other weekend. When my stepdaughter is here, we all go out to eat somewhere kid friendly, go to the movies, go to the park, or we spend time at the house playing games, swimming, etc.

During the week, when it's just my daughter, my husband, and myself, we usually at least eat supper together. There isn't much time for anything. I'm loving Pokémon Go because it's something my 14 year old and I can do together. My husband doesn't care for it, but he'll leash up the dog and walk with us. Sometimes just my daughter and myself cruise around the sleepy streets in my town. We also have movie night on weekends my step daughter isn't here (watching a movie on Netflix). And/or play board games and other things.

We also clean and do yardwork as a family unit. I do spend a lot of time alone with my daughter, though. It's part of the single mom lifestyle that I did for 12 years. While we're doing our thing, my husband has some down time (he works 70 hours a week).

So.....what do your families do?

Update:

For those who haven't played Pokémon Go, it is not a sit and stare at your phone game. We leave our phones on and walk/ride and talk and laugh. It vibrates when you come up onto a pokemon. We don't care to chase them down.

My kids are 2.5 years and 9 months, so we play blocks, we read a lot of books together, we eat dinner, we go for walks, we go to the playgrounds or pools.

It's just sharing experiences together. As long as you're sharing experiences, you're doing okay.

We have 4 kids 11,9,7,6. During the week they spend alot of time with their friends playing.. we also walk to our local park or school playground, play in the sprinkler, go to the beach, visit the nature observatory, hike, check out landmarks around the area, go to activities at the library. Rollerblading rink, YMCA, did I mention we also play Pokemon? We don't do much TV at our house at this point in time but occasionally TV or movie if it's rainy..

My boys are older 13 and 12 and more into Xbox and PC games so I tend to leave them alone. My little girl 6 is also very independent and is usually with her friends or if she is with me we do hair nails and makeup. I let the kids decide what they want to do rather than pushing for family time because trying to force mine to do anything they don't want erupts into an argument. My kids are very vocal about their wants lol

Sometimes we'd go to an amusement park, have a family picnic day at a beach, go bowling for a couple hours, fishing/boating.

Im a single dad. In the summers, we go to the drive in nearly every weekend. Even if the movies playing this weekend were the same ones we saw last weekend. We bond tailgating before the movie starts.
