Do you have some advice for me?

I have a problem entering into relationships with people who ignore what I have to say. My last few relationships have been with women that have their own agenda. My voice in what I have to say is constantly drowned out and I find myself in an uncomfortable situation. An example of what is bothering me would be telling the woman I am with that I am uncomfortable around clowns and for some reason she wants me to accompany her to a clown themed restaurant. I would really appreciate if you had some advice to help me avoid finding myself in these types of relationships in the future.
