Hey guys. I have a 2003 ford mustang v6. When i get in the car. I close the door and put on my seatbelt. Then proceed to put the key in the ignition. The chime comes on as it should but even when i start the car and drive it continues to chime. It's driving me insane and i don't know how to stop it. Please help.

The first thing to do is check the fuse to the circuit. Then make sure the wiring harness plug from the end of the seat belt hasn't been unplugged. There is a contact switch that gets activated when you fasten your seat belt. Sometimes the wires just go bad and sometimes it's that contact switch. If you can check any of that right away you can go under the dash and unplug the module that makes the chiming noise. Just follow the sound. The chime should be a small square plug in part on the fuse panel.

Hi so time to get the door switch checked out as it is not making contacts hence the door open alarm or a hood or trunks switch.

    Put the seat belts on.
