That is usually a bacterial infection that results from that. If she is around kindergarten age, it could be from urine draining backward when she urinates due to them not fitting on the toilet bowl very well. The urine trickles into their vagina and get irritation from that. Yeast is usually from wearing a swimsuit too long while at a pool in the summer. The area stays moist too long and the warmth from the sun makes the perfect growing conditions.
