I just broke up with my girlfriend. I have no idea if I made the right choice.?
We made a great pair though and many friends thought we'd get married. Early on about a few months in she was pressuring me to marry her and we are both 22 I was 21 T the time....she made many mistakes as did I but she would even admit I was very very sweet to her as I am a nice guy and she would say idk how you put up with me. Despite all the bullshit arguments and stupid insecurities, I STILL MISS HER. and I can't stop thinking about her moving on and being happy with someone else. She is in grad school and will have access to the same bars as our undergrad school. Of course I want her to be happy and enjoy herself but I am at home and I am horrified of the loneliness on its way. Maybe someone better will be on their way but I just feel so hollow. Even though I broke it off with her I don't think I was exactly ready to even though I have a feeling it would've happens anyways. So my question is, is what I am feeling normal? What are the best ways to cope and proceed, and do you think I made the right decision? Everything in my life just reminds me of her. Music, oysters tv shows and being on this couch. I already miss making love to her and it was such a great bond between us. It was just exhausting to defend myself sometimes and apologize for being right

If you constantly had to apologize to her then the relationship was clearly one sided. And that's not a healthy relationship. Working things out and communicating is essential in any relationship. As for what you're feeling, that's totally normal. But at the end of the day, you're breathing fresher air. You need to get out and meet people. Not necessarily meet someone else right away, but in order to take your mind of her, you need to keep yourself busy. Eventually, you will get over her. Sometimes things happen for a reason and whatever is in store for your future may be greater. No one can tell you if you made the right decision, but you have to believe in yourself. You went as far as breaking up with her for a reason. Hope all is well
