PLZ help idk what to do with this guy?

so before summer started i went out clubbing with a few friends and this guy and i kept seeing eachother while at house parties and while clubbing we would talk all the time, so finally i got his number and we talked every night solid for a week, so he kissed me one time while we were clubbing and i was quite shocked because i didnt think he liked me...and later that night we told eachother we do have feelings for one another but just the next day had to go away for the summer for a month but he said lets keep in touch and hang when we get back. weve been talking this whole summer and hes coming back soon but weve never had a deep convo its mostly just about our day and all and idk if he likes me anymore....): my friends say wait till he comes back but i wanna try and have a deep convo about relationships with him but the time zones r rough however any suggestions? on how i could bring it up or anything ...
