Skateboard wheels are tighter in front than the back is that normal?

Just bought a complete skateboard and is it normal for it to be that way or do I have to adjust it? The front wheels barely spin and the back spin a lot

Loosen the front wheels until they spin freely.

Yeah you should loosen the nuts on the front trucks so the wheels can spin freely. I think it s better to make them a little extra loose anyway to avoid putting pressure on the bearings. You should be able to jiggle the wheel and have it be able to move a little. As long as the nut is on the bolt all the way you are fine. If you make them too tight you will break the bearing.

If the front wheels still don t spin at the same speed after you loosen the nuts don t worry about it. It is common, especially for new bearings for the wheels to spin at different speeds when you spin the wheel with no weight on it. New bearings usually spin slower than old ones because there is so much lube in them and they haven t been broken in yet. Just ride the board around for awhile to break the bearings in and they should all spin normal.
