Can a governor of New Jersey has the right to invalidate a Writ of Execution if so why?

    According to Article V Section 2 Paragraph 1 of the NJ Constitution:

    The Governor may grant pardons and reprieves in all cases other than impeachment and treason, and may suspend and remit fines and forfeitures.

    A Writ of Execution would likely and may have been ruled by the NJ Supreme Court a type of forfeiture.

    not sure, possibly........due to extenuating circumstances, an emergency stay being issued by governor may be it....not really sure on that one....writs are issued by courts
