    "Ten times more than 90 is" is an unclear statement. It could mean

    10 x 90 = 900, or

    ten times more than 90: (10 x 90) + 90 = 990

    Can't believe any competent teacher or author would write it that way.

    Agree with derfram. The wording is poor. If the goal is to end with 90 * 10 = 900, the wording should be "Ten times 90 is ____?"
