comma and period in currency and prices compared to dollar?

merica here watching a travel and food tv show made in the usa. a little sa restaurant had prices of R 7.50-20.50...

just more the period one place to the right when comparing the two monies for it to make sense to merica? does sa use a comma in currency?

    Your question doesn't make a lot of sense... Are you asking whether South American countries use the comma in their currency notation? As far as I'm aware, they do, but my only experience is with Brazil. They show currency as $25,50, rather than $25.50. Thousands are notated with periods, e.g. $12.345,67.
