Ichiro is about as close to being a "lock" for the HOF as possible. He's had an excellent career and has no major controversies. There's a very high probability that he'll be inducted the first year he's eligible.

Ichiro has pretty much been a guarantee since 2010, when he reached the minimum 10 MLB seasons required to be considered eligible upon retirement. [Ten consecutive seasons of 200+ hits, 10 All Stars, 10 Gold Gloves, two batting titles, single-season hits record...]

It used to be that 3,000 hits, 500 homers, and 300 wins (for a pitcher) guaranteed induction into the Hall of Fame. But since the steroids era, that's not necessarily the case.
Still, Suzuki's career is devoid of controversy so I think it's safe to say that he'll be inducted once he retires.

i think so. he has no controversy of steroids or ped's linked to him in his career. he's been a liked player no matter where he played. i don't think it'll be first ballot, but it'll be in his first year of qualification.
