When did you last start to ask something only to apply those hesitant brakes?

Now. I really think it's best to quit asking and answering on this site and hesitate.

I will miss some people here, but won't miss all the negatives that seem to be piling up here.

my friends and I were waiting for a table at a nice restaurant and it was taking forever.

I was just ready to ask the hostess how much longer it was going to take BUT she

said the table was ready now.
