What's Washington, D.C. like?

In moving to Maryland next year so just wondering if it's that much different to Ireland?

    It will be different than it will be similar. Washington DC as a city has a lot of problems. It is also extremely expensive to live in a nice area.

    Big crowded urban city. Lots of great museums. Primarily black population lives there. most people who work in DC live elsewhere and commute. Hot and muggy in summer, not that pretty of a place like Ireland.

    Yes, it will be much different from Ireland. A lot more crimes, a lot more people, a lot more cars etc.

    The area is very diverse; I think there are more black people in DC than there are in the entire country of Ireland, but not as many Asians as in Dublin.
