Is diy teeth whitening (once a week) with baking soda and water or lemonjuice safe or is it really bad for your teeth?

Lemon juice is an ACID and will destroy the enamel on your teeth.

You could try a paste of baking soda and water 1 or 2 times a week. You *might* be able to remove some slight surface stains, but it's nowhere close to the whitening that you are most likely looking for.

Baking soda is an abrasive and will wear away the enamel

    Use a whitening toothpaste instead

It could and likely will start to cause tooth sensitivity.
