yahoo messenger update?
does yahoo messenger really need to be updated? every time i turn it on a message pops up say the old version will no longer work at the end of august. i was just wondering if it was just another scam or it was real.

From what I am hearing, that is malware because August 5th was the date we were all supposed to have updated messenger. and yahoo never sent out another email about extending the date. So report that as spam every time you log in.

I have downloaded the new version 5 times and every time i choose the windows desktop version I get the android app as my new messenger. The preferences dont allow phot sharing or video chat. What gives?

Instant messenger is using the most recent upgrade. Yahoo instant messenger is no longer a download. You have to use it online: https://messenger.yahoo.com/
