I moved from Quebec to Ontario in 2014. I kept my cell phone with the 514 area code, mainly because it's tied to my office and I still work in Montreal. The number on your cell phone should probably be changed to a BC area code (236? 250? 778?) if you plan to have people local to BC calling you. Things like having the local garage call you to let you know your car is repaired and ready is easier to a local number for them.

However, if you still have a lot of friends in Ontario and you want to make it easier for them to call you, then dialing your Ontario cellphone number as a local call, they usually won't be charged long distance. So that could be a savings for you if receiving a lot of calls. Either way (if you have a BC or Ontario phone number), there will still be long distance charges if you call from BC back to Ontario on either phone.

By the way, we get the 10 pts automatically when you pick the best answer. No need to remind us on each question you post... It's really YOUR response that insures that. ;-)
