My friend and I are planning roof sitting. I'm 140 and she's 100 pounds. can the roof hold us?

Yes. A wood roof with wood or asphalt shingles is as sturdy as the floor in your house* (barring rot, broken beams, etc). Also, the guys that roof houses weigh much more than you two. *You do not need to worry about 18" centers vs 24" centers, even if that difference (floor / roof) does exist.

Unless there's hidden rot, or other defect, a house roof should have no problem supporting the two of you. Don't jump around.
A car roof, you'll leave dents.

It depends on the roof, but the WEATHER probably puts more stress on the roof than the 2 of you.

it depends what the roof is madeout of and how it is constructed and what condition it is in,
