Scam inquiry: RMD International China?

There was a job posting in Upwork for an English teacher to travel and work in China. After doing a bit of research, I have found the website for the organization, www.jobplacementchina.com .

So far, all that I have done is set up a proposal in Upwork and sent a "Hello" to a person on Skype who will go over the offer in more detail. I will say that if this is a scam, the scammers are very slow in responding to my questions. It takes about a whole day to get one of my questions answered.

Does this draw a lot of red flags for something that I should immediately stop doing and forget about? I would really like this to be legitimate...I have recently earned a Bachelor's of English, and I think this sounds like the perfect opportunity for me to work and do international travel.

For a start no real company would be happy with skyping an applicant because there could be someone else in the room not showing on the camera. The length of time they take to reply is a red flag as well as it is a tell that they are working off a script and don't really know English properly so they have to consult software before they reply. I went to the website you stated and it looks very unprofessional. If you want to work in China interpreting then there is Voluntary Services Overseas or VSO, they also advertise paid careers as well as voluntary and you can be sure that is not a scam.

I too think it would be a great opportunity. In fact, I know of two couples who have gone over there on teaching contracts. They loved it. You must be under about age 30 or 35 - very impatient. People over 30 or 35 are not in their email all day long. In fact, some days, do not go into it at all. I have a life and other things in my life to do. When I am in my email, it is once a day or twice a day at most. Nothing is so important that it must be dealt with the moment the email was sent. Even on business, perhaps, they are short-handed, check mornings only for new applicants or perhaps, the person to handles new applicants only works twice a week. Be patient. One day is being really impatient.
