Why the 2DS only sold 2 million when it release worldwide on October 2013 excluding Japan & South Korea, and then release in 2015 in Japan?

The 3DS has sold around 60 million excluding the 2DS as of June 2016 and the 2DS has sold 2 million as of July 2016 according to Nintendo. These are sales, not shipments.

Update:

I always play with the 3D on and so do 90% or so of New 3DS owners.

You're right Bone Alone, it is a completely different experience for the better, that you can't and shouldn't play any other way for any portable device.

Because the 2ds didn't do what it was supposed to do.

    1. It's supposed to be a handheld but it was more like a mini-tablet than a handheld.

    2. 3ds games work best in 3D mode. Marioland is a completely different game when you play in 3D mode vs 2d mode.

3 Nintendo kind of shot itself in the foot when it said the 2ds was for little kids because there was a shoddy "scientific" study that says that babies might get impaired visions if they play with the 3ds for prolonged periods.

    4. Once again Nintendo screws up on the naming. Some people think the 2ds is the predecessor to the 3ds rather than being a 3ds without 3D mode.
