My drink choices were water, unsweetened koolaid (green was my favorite), milk, and water. The only salt we saw was during meal times, usually in a shaker or a condiment package. After we completed our 15 mile march during OSUT at Ft Sill, the folks who ran the chow hall brought us out a few crates of 1 pint milk cartons and let us have our fill. We were never told to ingest extra salt.

Yes. You need to replace salt along with water.

Gatorade is perhaps the worst thing you can drink when you're dehydrated. Did you ever read the amount of sugar in that crap? Twice the amount of sugar than soda.

  • You'll get plenty of salt in the food and you'll be drinking tons of water

Looking at the chow and mess halls on you tube, it seems to have the complete accommodations that you would find at a typical diner.
