I am looking to get a new laptop... What should I get?

I currently have a Toshiba satilite pro, I am sad Toshiba is not in business anymore :(

I download a lot of music. It would be mainly for school use. I do not care about how heavy it is. I want something that is going to last 8 years and not crap out on me. Any one that is good with computers please help me out.

    LOL, 8 years? Dream on. Laptops/desktops typically have a 2-3 year lifespan, and then they are obsolete. Anything you get past that point is gravy.
