Girls: would you be put off a boy if he slurped while eating watermelon (at home, not in a posh restaurant).?
My friend said good luck getting a girlfriend if you slurp watermelon like that! . I just thought it wise not to get sticky juice all over myself and the sofa.

Apparently it was slurping 'outrageously' and the list of sins extends to spitting cheery stones through my rolled tongue (we'd picked them off the tree in the park: we weren't littering the street).
Apparently it is more than the occasional slurp and sounds like someone sucking a straw around the bottom of an empty thick-shake cup, but my mouth amplifies the sound.

Messy foods are the reason for napkins. Your "friend" was preying on your sexual insecurities when he/she ought to have been more direct; it bothered HIM/HER.

How can one eat watermelon without the occassional slurp, you're supposed to just let the juices run down the sides of your mouth (now that's appealing)? Get over it already. Of course there is a matter how much.
