Is it okay to give a dog cold water?

My dog has recently stop drinking water and so I gave him a little cold and he Lapped it up. But I heard somewhere that it can be lethal to dogs? I've seen a lot of mixed reviews about it. Is it ok or not?

It's fine. I've spent a lot of time in the mountains, at all times of the year, and the water can be ICE cold. My dogs have never had a problem from drinking it.

Talk to your vet about it, but i heard that cold water can send the dogs into shock or twist their stomach

cold water is fine if the dog is not hot. if the dog is panting, give tepid water until he cools off and then he can have cooler water

Its only bad if they have heat stroke as they must be cooled gradually.

See you ver or the dog will become dehydrated and end up with all kinds of metabolic issues.
