I think you mean bloat. Bloat is what we call it when the dog's stomach sort of twists and seals itself off, nothing can come in or get out, and the gases from the food in the stomach make it swell painfully. This is a life threatening problem, requiring emergency surgery.
This is not the same as a dog or person just getting a big stomach after a big meal. Then there is no terrible pain or huge swelling. Thanskgiving dinner won't kill you if you eat too much. BLOAT can kill a dog if it's stomach twists and gets everything stuck inside it.
An animal with bloat will be in obvious pain, pawing at its sides, whining, unable to settle down and get comfortable. While bloat could technically happen in any breed it is more prevalent in deep, narrow chested breeds.

it is spelled B L O A T And the only chance the dog has is if you get it to a vet real fast
