Is it ok to have bathroom extractor fan running from ceiling light without a 3 pole isolator? Is it safe?

    Yes it is safe to have the fan without a 3 pole isolator and there are many wired this way. However for safety it is recommended to have one so the fan can be isolated for cleaning / servicing without having to turn off the lighting supply. ( It can be a bit difficult if you cannot see what you are doing ).

    YES ... it is safe .... for many years the bathroom ex-fan has been wired and operated on the two-wired system and the third pole isolator ground has not been into a part of the wiring === you are safe .... call NuTone or Broan [[[ biggest manufacturer of bath ex-fans and then see what they say if you don't believe me ...
