How long does it take to travel around England?
I`m not referring to the whole United Kingdom.
I`m not talking about "SIGHTSSEING", stop here, there & everywhere time.
I do mean a literal time "to travel around England".
With a couple of stops for; stretching, snacking, bathroom, smoking & one sit-down meal time. About 3 stops, 5 to 10 minutes long.
It takes me about 9 to 10 hours to travel from Fayetteville, NC to Red Bank, NJ, with sporadic stops, as I described along the way.
The distance is about 900 to 1000 miles, so how long can it take to go around its perimeter.
& here I thought the craziest travel directions only took place in my island.

Kind of depends on your route, and the mode of travel and hence speed, and how intensively you travel ie. whether you take breaks and if so how many and for how long. Flying in a private jet? Say 8 hours, if you want to literally trace the perimeter of England. Walking? Maybe 3-4 months, if you pretty much walk non-stop apart from meals and rest. Swimming? Probably a bit longer than walking. Driving? Depends on your choice of route. (Are you also starting to realise how stupid the question was, when you don't provide any details or context or otherwise elaborate on what you mean by 'travel around'?)

That depends on what you want to see - coast, rural, towns and cities or a combination of these, and how much time you have to explore these. We have a dense frequent national rail system. You will see a lot from the window as you travel between different places. You can buy a Britrail Pas before arrival.

The question is too vague.
Do you mean to follow the coast or border exactly, which could only be done on foot?
Do you mean to drive in a loop composed of trunk roads and motorways only and without going back down the same road again? (So something like Truro - Carlisle - Berwick-on-Tweed - Cromer - Dartford - Margate - Truro)?
Do you mean driving or cycling following the coast or border as closely as possible by tarred road without using any dead ends?
Do you mean a railway journey going Penzance - Carlisle - Newcastle - Dover - Penzance?

Look at the map, decide on which way you are going, put in the means of transport and names of starting point and first place you are traveling to... 20mph to 70 mph is the maximum speed on roads, depends if/when you are traveling in rush hours traffic or not, it could be 2mph to 10 mph so it will clearly take longer

To drive between the main points on the four corners and not visiting every place on the perimeter) is about 1,300 miles. That's about 30 hours non-stop.

Depends - do you just want to go around the edge, or to every village, town, hamlet, city etc within it?
And by what mode of transport - are you walking? cycling? driving?
