I m was worried that it may change my period as my period as always been very good on the old bc I also was scared that it will not be effective right away I called my doctor and the nurse that works with her said that it should not cause any new affects and should be affective right away bc its " the same thing" I still worry about Wonder if anyone has had experience with this and can help is it the same pill

If they have the exact same active hormones, your bleed should remain the same.

They may have slightly differently inactive ingredients, which could give you side effects, but that will be something you just need to keep an eye on.

You will be fully protected, as long as you start your birth control on time and when you would have started your old pack.

I switched a couple months ago to a pill that was a slightly lower dosage and a different hormone. The doctor and pharmacists told me I would be fully protected since I have been on the pill for almost a year. Since it's the same hormones, there really shouldn't be any issues with your body needing to adjust much.

So you don't trust a pharmacist, who went to a minimum of six years of school in order to be allowed to dispense drugs. Or a nurse, who went to 4-6 years of nursing school in order to help patients take drugs safely.

But a whole bunch of grayface anons on the internet you are 100% willing to believe?

It's fine. The pharmacist cannot legally give you a drug that is not chemically identical to the one you were prescribed.
