Can a tech school/colleg find out whos andriod was on a site that shouldn t of been on?

Lets just say i was on my own mobile network on break and using incognito mode and all of a sudden i accidently hit the wifi button on my phone and was on the school network for a few moments (prolly at least a minute) until i shut off the wifi again. So i know they can get a flag of sites that are blocked and ect. But can they see it was me and have my name and all that ect. Or does it just show that it was an "android" user at this time and day ect. I know...i shouldnt of been doing that i learned my lesson.

First of all, incognito mode does not make any difference to what happens on the network. All it does is tell the browser not to store cookies, record your history and passwords or cache Internet pages.

The network will probably log the MAC address of your device and the names of sites you have visited. If you he given your device a personal name (like "Ammamil-phone"), then that can be captured as well. Unless you abuse the service or access dubious sites, the school will probably ignore a single incident.

You weren't on long enough for anyone to care. Why don't you "forget" the school's Wi-Fi name on your phone? That'll keep it from joining next time, assuming the school's Wi-Fi has a passcode you have to enter. If that doesn't work, select the "Ask before joining" feature so that you get a chance to stop it from fully joining.

It might show your androids name if you named it, if you can do that with androids idk, I think you can with iphones when you first connect them to itunes. But I know my ipod just shows up as "ipod"
