For the Jr. Middleweight division, Canelo's power is about an 8/10. At Middleweight, his power is less than Jacob's, Eubanks Jr.'s, Lee's, Steven's, Lemieux's, and GGG's.

Shane Mosley has fought and sparred many boxers. He said that Canelo's power is definitely very good for a Jr. Middleweight, but that Golovkin's power is actually comparable to a Light Heavyweight's. If Gonzalez can beat Inoue, he is the greatest Nicaraguan fighter of all times. Right now, he is the P4P #1 and on his way...

Well, if we can believe Shane Mosley who spars with top caliber boxers and he said that Canelo is "good" for a Junior Middleweight but not as strong as GGG who hits like a Light Heavyweight... and then we must also take into account that MOST of the guys Canelo KOd were mediocre or smaller than him... it sort of takes away from his self apple-polishing, doesn't it, even with the few great fights he's had against good but smaller opponents?

The question will be answered when Canelo is put to the test if and when he fights Lemieux or Eubanks, Jr and if he can come out of the corner like he did against his last smaller opponent, Liam Smith, and maintain that kind of activity and fury instead of stalking his smaller opponent flat-footed, like a relentless zombie.

EDITED: Oh, almost forgot, in terms of Román González and the late great Arguello, González is the only 4-division world champ in Nicaragua's history; he surpassed his former mentor and idol, Arguello with only 3-division world championships to his illustrious credit. He is the current p4p champion today. Gotta give him credit and, yes, he has surpassed the late great Arguello, whom I admired and respected as a boxer and gentleman.

Hard to gauge Canelo s power because he was always fighting smaller fighters.

Roman Gonzales is already greater than Arguello at this point. Is he not the #1 P4P right now, something Arguello didn t achieved aside from being a four division champion?
